Capital Campaign Phase IV Letter Dear Church Family: On Pentecost Sunday, May 23rd, our congregation celebrated the completion of Phase III of our Capital Campaign and kicked-off Phase IV. During the next 18 months, our gifts to Phase IV of the Capital Campaign will pay off our internal debt to our endowment while giving our congregation time to identify and prioritize potential Phase V capital projects. In worship on June 23rd, Dave Wolf presented an excellent summation of the past three capital campaigns which began in 2001 and ran through April of this year. To view this presentation, please click on this link. Through these three campaigns, we accomplished many great improvements to our church building. These improvements include additional classrooms and the multi-purpose room, the remodeled south entrance, the relocation and expansion of the nursery and library, the new playground, and the remodeled kitchen in the fellowship hall. These improvements have enhanced the ministry of our church in a multitude of ways. Over these years, gifts to the capital campaign have exceeded $2,000,000. Thanks to this generous giving, we have approximately $500,000 left to repay for these past improvements. As we continue to enjoy the benefits of these improvements, we are asking everyone in our church family to make a financial commitment to Phase IV of the Capital Campaign. This commitment is no different than paying for improvements to our own homes. In this case, with your generous support, we will be able to pay down the debt that was incurred as we made improvements to our church home. It is our hope that those who have contributed in the past will continue to do so, and that those who have not previously contributed will take this opportunity to do so now. With everyone’s participation we can grow the church’s ministry, as the church’s ministry has grown with these improvements. Please help us continue to build upon our rich inheritance by prayerfully considering the commitment you will make to Phase IV of the Capital Campaign. Then fill out two commitment cards that were mailed to you with this letter in June, retaining one for your records and returning the other to the church office as soon as possible. You may place the card in the offering plate during worship or mail it to the church. If you have misplaced the commitment cards which were mailed to you with the original letter, you can pick up additional cards in the church office. Thank you for your heartfelt support. In Christ’s name, Warren Winkelman Please note that Warren Winkelman has completed his term as committee chair. The new committee chair for Stewardship and Finance is Bruce Lyman.
