Kids Club is a time of friendship and faith-building activities for children in 2nd-5th grade.
Every Wednesday, beginning Sept. 23, 2009
3:15-5:30 pm at the church
All 2nd – 5th graders invited
Friends are always welcome!
Our Wednesday schedule:
3:15 – 4:15 children gather, free time, organized games, snacks
4:15 – 5:30 a rotation of music, games, lessons, crafts, or drama – each week is something different
5:30 – 6:30 shared supper for all! Bring your whole family, and friends!
It’s a great time to connect.
Throughout the year, we’ll be involved with special service projects, go on field trips and have an overnight retreat, which is always so much fun!
Some of the special events:
November: focus on hunger, collect food for the foodshelf, field trip to the Nfld. Foodshelf
December: Christmas Sharing, make gifts, wrap boxes, collect toys, etc., work on Christmas pageant
January: Go bowling – just for fun! … and we’ll go sledding when the snow & weather are rightJ
March: Kids Club Overnight Retreat in Cannon Falls
Question: How will Kids Club work with the early school release on Wednesdays?
Answer: Bus transportation will be available for children from Greenvale at 2:30 and Bridgewater at 2:45. Look for the “Kids Club” sign in the bus window. Sibley students will walk to the church at 3:15.
Sibley students can choose to stay in the free afterschool program at Sibley until 3:15 then walk across the street to the church, or they may go home from school at 2:15 and return to the church at 3:15 for Kids Club.
Greenvale students: can choose to stay in the free afterschool program at Greenvale until 2:30 then ride the Kids Club bus to church, or they may go home at their early release time and return to the church at 3:15.
Bridgewater students: The Kids Club bus will pick you up at your early release time – 2:45. No afterschool care needed.
This schedule will allow students from other schools to fully participate in the Kids Club program. Thanks to the Nfld. early release time, we’ll be able to start Kids Club each Wednesday with all the children arriving at the same time! Volunteers needed each Wednesday- Contact Kathy Neil
- Please complete the Kids Club Registration form and return to Kathy Neil.
- Please contact your child’s school with their Wednesday afterschool plans.
- I will compile a list of students from each school that will be participating in Kids Club and send it to the respective schools.
